I wonder if there are any reasons why we demand to be near each other? One of hyper-non-evidential hypotheses is that we desire to be loved in order to define our existential reason. Reproducing offspring would give you a chance to recognize the reason for your child’s existence.
At least, you would know why your child is there. Hence, your child is the most important thing in the world.
In one movie, there is a scene where a character testifies the tragedy of parents eating their children out of poverty. That must be hell. The reason for existence. Fear of death. So dreadful. If we were to die anyway, why not have fun? Maybe that was the idea. That is what I thought when I was looking at chaotic festivals in Hindi temples. It is too hot to live dreadfully that’s for sure.
